Mason Atha is a music educator and professional bassist in north central West Virginia. The driving force behind his career is a desire to share the joy of music. Mason's specialities involve folk, bluegrass, jazz, and funk, and he has performed on stages from the Station Inn in Nashville, TN to the main stage of the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival.

Mason teaches learners of all ages. He has experience coaching group and solo strings, choirs, and contemporary bands. Mason holds a B.M. in Music Education from West Virginia University, where he studied bass with Andrew Kohn and Paul Thompson.
